As stated in the roadmap, Palworld’s creators plan to implement a PVP mode in the future. However, some players have reported that the new Palworld PVP mode has already been enabled in the game, and you can enjoy the brand-new mode now. Check out the full details below.
How to Enable PVP mode on your dedicated server in Palworld
Players should make a complete backup of their server before attempting any changes. Please note that we do not take responsibility for any errors that may arise from using this feature as it is not officially supported yet.
- Locate the PalWorldSettings.ini file in your Pal server folder. For Windows, it’s in PalServer\Pal\saved\config\windowsserver, and for Linux, it’s in home\container\Pal\Saved\Config\LinuxServer.
- Open the PalWorldSettings.ini file using a text editor like Notepad++.
- Change the values of two settings to True: bEnablePlayerToPlayerDamage and bIsPvP. They should read as follows: bEnablePlayerToPlayerDamage=True and bIsPvP=True.
- Save the changes and copy all the contents of the file.
- Go to Palworld Server Configuration Generator.
- Paste the values from the PalWorldSettings.ini.
- Verify that the settings match your preferences, ensuring that bEnablePlayerToPlayerDamage=True and bIsPvP=True.
- Click “Generate WorldOption.sav” to download a file named “WorldOption.sav.”
- Navigate back to your server files, specifically PalServer\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\0\world name (which will be random numbers).
- Paste the downloaded “WorldOptions.sav” file into this directory without modifying or deleting other settings.
- Start your server as usual and test if PVP mode works.
