Breeding is a mechanism in Palworld that allows you to get different passive skills or subspecies of Pals. In Palworld, all pals can breed with each other, and there are over 18,797 breeding partner combinations. Check out the full explanation of pal breeding below.
Players will need a breeding farm to breed the pals in the game. Select a male and female friend to partner with when the farm is set up. Remember to give the breeding farm some cake. After a while, they’ll lay a pale egg, which you can hatch later on.
Every Pal in Palworld possesses a secret “breeding power,” denoted by a number between 10 and 1500. The lower the number, the more powerful the palette. The power levels are listed under the “Visual Data” tab. The average of both parents’ powers is used to calculate the baby’s power as a result of breeding. (Parent 1 Power + Parent 2 Power) / 2 = Baby Power.
The player who has the closest power to this average is then chosen by the game. For example, the baby will be Robinquill if its power is 1015 and the nearest numbers are 1010 (Felbat) and 1020 (Robinquill). The pal that appears first in the index is chosen by the game in the event of a tie. In this instance, Robinquill is selected over Felbat since it arrives first.
You can never breed a pal stronger or rarer than your strongest or rarest parent. For example, the following will happen if your beginning parents are Anubis (570) and Cattiva (1460): (570 + 1460) / 2 = 1015 (Robinquill). The nearest Arsox is 795; therefore, if you bred that baby at 1015 with your initial 570 Anubis, the result would be (570 + 1015) / 2 = 792.5.
How To Unlock the Breeding Farm
You may access the breeding farm from your technology tree once you reach level 19. To construct one, you need 100 pieces of wood, 20 stones, and 50 fibres.
How to make cake in Palworld
- Step 1: Unlock the mill at level 15 by using 50 wood and 50 stone.
- Step 2: Set up a wheat plantation (unlocked at level 15) and use the harvested wheat in the mill to produce flour.
- Step 3: At level 17, build a cooking pot with 20 wood, 15 ingots, and 3 flame organs.
- Step 4: Gather the ingredients for the cake: five flours, eight red berries, seven milk, eight eggs, and two honey.
- Step 5: Obtain honey by catching or killing Cinnamoths, or set up a ranch with beegardes for a constant honey supply.
- Step 6: Use the cooking pot to combine the ingredients and make a cake.
List of Special Combinations
We can’t list all the combinations here due to the large number of possibilities. Check out some combinations below that do not use the breeding power method for results.
