Palworld’s map is quite big, with a range of landscapes and tiny islands that are difficult to travel to because of the powerful flows of water that surround them. Among these islands lie rare pals that require the use of swimming mounts to travel there and catch them.
What Are Swimming Mounts?
Swimming mounts are the ones that can swim on the water surfaces, and they can assist you in getting to the islands that are submerged in the water. You won’t have to deal with stamina loss or the consequences of drowning when riding these mounts.
Swimming mounts cannot use their partner skills without the assistance of special pal gear. Additionally, swimming mounts maintain their stamina when traversing vast expanses of water.
How to Get a Swimming Mount
The game features a variety of swimming mounts that can be caught in the same way as other pals. But since these pals are already out in the middle of rivers, lakes, and the ocean, this could be difficult sometimes. Check out the swimming mounts and their locations.
There are currently three swimming mounts available in the game, including Azurobe, Surfent, and Jormuntide. However, to ride a water mount, you must make the matching Pal Gear at a Pal Gear Workbench.
Azurobe
Azurobe is a Water/Dragon Element Pal in the game that can be found in the waters west of the Bridge of Twin Kights as well as the No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary. You can reach this location by using a flying mount or swimming mount if you have already caught one.

- Possible Drops: Cloth
- Partner Skill: (Azurobe Saddle must be unlocked) Able to be ridden to navigate on water. When mounted, deals water damage to the player’s attacks.
Surfent
Surfent is a water element pal in the game that players can find near large bodies of water in the Forest and Tundra biomes. The coordinates of the location are (-124, -465).

- Partner Skill: Swift Swimmer- Able to be ridden to travel on water. Avoids losing stamina when traveling over water while mounted. (Surfent Saddle required.)
Jormuntide
Jormuntide is a Water/Dragon Element Pal that can be found in lakes east of the Mossandra Forest teleport point and southeast of the Investigator’s Fork. The location’s coordinates are (-176, -268).
